Why people use Zero nicotine e-liquids

Zero Nicotine e-liquids

Vape devices or electronic cigarettes, a famous substitution for regular cigarettes, are battery-powered devices that vaporize the water-based liquid, also known as e-liquid or vape juice, which the user inhales, giving the sensation of smoking.

These e-liquids usually come in their own cartridges and when you need a refill, simply buy an e-liquid bottle and fill the cartridge on your own.

The e-liquids comprise four main ingredients- propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, flavouring, and nicotine. While the e-liquids come in thousands of flavouring ranging from 8% to 10% in an e-liquid, the nicotine content in the e-liquid could vary from 0% (with no nicotine liquid) to 5.4% of the finished product.

Primarily, e-cigarette was promoted as an easy alternative for those who wanted to quit smoking cigarette. However, nowadays, people want to try something new and vaping would provide a similar experience to that of smoking a cigarette, only without the adverse health effects.

Vapers usually use nicotine-containing e-liquids to satisfy their craving for nicotine, in fact, those who are using vaping as a way to cut down smoking should start off with 24 mg/ml or 18 mg/ml nicotine content in the e-liquid. This level can be gradually brought down to 12 mg/ml or 6 mg/ml.

If you are a smoker who ends up going from regular cigarette to zero nicotine e-liquids, the chances are that you will go back to smoking cigarettes in a matter of few days to cope up with the rather unsatisfying vaping experience.

Vaping nicotine containing liquids is still better than smoking cigarettes as the amount of nicotine in the former would not be harmful.

Nevertheless, for those first time vapers, if you are confused on whether buying e-liquids with or without nicotine content, the following advantages might be of some help in deciding that.

  • No addiction:
If your e-liquid does not have nicotine content, you have successfully warded off the notion of any addiction caused due to the chemical. For those who want to change their habit of smoking cigarettes could eventually cut down on nicotine for good when they switch over to e-cigarettes and decrease the level of nicotine in the e-liquids to nil.

  • Better flavour:
With nicotine in your e-liquid, you will always taste that sting that comes along with the flavour that has a distinct taste. Instead, when you buy nicotine free e-liquid, you can actually enjoy the taste of flavour more than otherwise.

  • Longer shelf life:
If kept in ideal conditions, nicotine free e-liquids can stay intact for approximately 12 to 18 months. On the other hand, nicotine-containing vape juices can go bad and change in color, if kept for a long period.
