What are vape coils and how do they function?
Vape coils are the part in a vaping device that is responsible for heating up the e-juices and forming the vapours.
When it comes to the types of vape coils or atomizers, there are mainly 4 types, namely- Coil heads, RTAs, RBAs, and RDAs.
You can head over to our blog discussing in detail about the types of vape coils.
In the end, you should understand this that there is not perfect kind of vape coil. It is very subjective and totally depends on your needs and requirements.
What do you mean by different ohms in vaping?
Atomizers or vape coils are measured in ohms. Since there is a resistance coil in them, the ohms decide how much power is required and how much vapour is produced?
If the ohms are lower, more power is required to heat the coil and form the vapours. The lower ohm coil gives you more vapours and drier hits. This is probably the reason why your vape-juice will get used up more rapidly.
On the other hand, higher ohms give you less vapour and they are cooler and more pleasant. The coil doesn't have to use much power to heat up the e-juice. This means that the battery life of your vaping accessory also increases.
How can you know if a coil needs to be changed?
Many of you might find it difficult to tell whether your coil needs to change or not? There are a few tell-tale signs that will help you figure this out.
Your overall vaping experience will change to some extent when you coil gets overused. You must notice that burnt taste you get whenever you take a puff from your vaping device, well, this is a sign that your coil has burnt out and you should replace it as soon as possible.
Another sign is that your e-liquid will start tasting different. The flavour in your vape will not be as intense as it used to be. This is because the coil is not able to heat the vape juice sufficiently since it needs to be changed.
A gurgling sound while you vape can also indicate that your coil needs to be changed. Also, if your vape starts leaking every now and then, this too can mean that you should probably replace your vape coil.

Clean the tank cap carefully and make sure you dry it out.
Then, screw the new coil in the cap and fit the tank back with the battery of your vaping accessory.
